By this scientific bird ringing
study method, birds are branded individually.
Any report of a ringed bird, either by its recapture and
its release, or by its final recovery as a death bird
(hunters...), will allow us to know the origine of
lots of birds, as well as to give us lots of information
that can be very useful in order to establish some future
conservational rules or steps. |

URDAIBAI HEGAZTIAK (Urdaibai Birds):
we work on the study and investigation of the birds in
The Biosphere Reservation of Urdaibai.
We carry on our task in a scientific bird ringing station that
allows us to obtain huge periodical information about
different aspects of birds´ biology.
Nowadays our bird ringing station is coordinated with another
station in Garaio (Araba); both of which belong to Grupo de
Anillamiento Nycticorax (Nycticorax Bird Ringing Group).
